The clay is white and cream-colored, smooth, dense and well-pressed. It bites off with a slight crunch, melts in your mouth, turning into a sour cream and, at the same time, hardly sticks. Kaolin pleasant flavor with hints of “wet dust” and warm milk.
It originates in a clay deposit located in the Zhytomyr region. The extraordinary natural beauty of these places is replete with ridges and hills, beneath which lies just clay. A characteristic feature of the compressed natural clay is in the method of cleaning. The extracted clay is ground and washed with plenty of water. In this way, the clay gets rid of sand and other impurities, which is very good for the food of clay. Then the clay is pressed through a special press, after which receives a small long stick, similar in shape to the “bars”. Then it dries and acquires its final form.
