Germany – DE003A
Composition: Mixed
Colour: Brown
Shape: Granules
Smooth underground taste, by their structure similar to Dutch traditional sprinkles known as ‘hagelslag’.
Luvos healing earth gastro balance granules were purchased in a shop at Heidelberg train station in Germany and added to the collection of the Museum of Edible Earth in 2019.
Luvos healing earth has been continuously on the market since 1918. It is a pure natural
product without additives and consists exclusively of loess dating from the Ice Age. It has a special, almost ideal composition of minerals and trace elements. Loess consists of two distinct components: clay mineral and tiny quartz sand grains.
The naturally occurring loess is already a very fine powder, which is finely ground and sieved
by the modern manufacturing process. This results in particles with a diameter of one- thousandth of a millimeter. The specific surface area (surface area per unit weight) is therefore increased. The larger the surface, the more pronounced is the ability of the healing earth to bind substances.
Luvos healing earth contains silicate, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, copper and zinc. It is widely sold in Germany. This sample has been shaped into granules to facilitate its absorption. Luvos granules are used as a mineral gastrointestinal agent for supportive treatment and relief of irritable bowel syndrome. The persistent symptoms such as diarrhea and flatulence are also treated naturally by Luvos.

Smooth taste, not very chalky.
Underground taste
It is like Dutch traditional thing – sprinkles ‘hagelslag’
loved it ♂️
This is like sprinkles, hagelslag. The same structure at least
Vitamine caddies, Martians Vitamins (see the picture), the texture and taste almost the same.
It looks like material for cat toilet.
It tastes like black&white, salmiac – salt & sweet; sandy
Texture reminds of Durch chocolate sprinkles. It disintegrates in your mouth. It is pleasant. It feels like sim toy, but then for your mouth. I don’t taste a lot though. It doesn’t taste like I would think earth would taste like. It is very slightly salty, and obviously earth. But it is not very overpowering, like mellow soft, more overtones. It dries your mouth a tiny tiny bit
Chicken food. It polishes your teeth.
Stale cookies – hard but with flavour
Sabor é comum, suave, fica bastante areinha espalhada na boca.
Texture is like hagleslag, but the taste is slightly earthy and mild. The texture lingers in your mouth longer than the taste.
Student: I really enjoyed it. I felt a connection to the earth in my body.
Student: I don’t like the way it sounds, scratching on my teeth.

I don’t think it is good for your teeth
It tastes like clay
It tastes like paper
Hagelslag
Doesn’t taste like anything to me
The tastiest German earth. It stays long on the teeth. It is very nuanced
schmeckt gut 7,5/10
Soapy and sandy
It tastes like powder we mix with milk or use on top of cakes.
Looks like rat poop
A sensação que tive é de textura arenosa e seca.
