Guatemala – GT001A
Composition: Clay
Colour: Grey
Shape: Shaped
Soil for oral use in Guatemala, known as ‘pan de dios’, i.e. ‘bread of god’. The earth tablets are stamped with the images, often of cross. The soil comes from the pilgrimage town of Esquipulas, and according to the vendors is blessed. It is used as a medicine, as a food supplement, but as well, according to some sources, for spiritual cleansing (at Esquipulas Guatemala). This sample was obtained on a market, its shape is unclear and it seems to be an imitation of the traditional Breads of God.
The best soil because is blessed
I got a big rock. It tastes a little spicy. Like curry. Like a kind of tea. It is almost floral. This one has most flavor yet. Basilic. The taste is still in my mouth. It is more in your nose
