Kapelica Gallery, Slovenia

From March 3 till April 30 2026, Museum of Edible Earth and the project Compost as Superfood will be hosted by a world renown platform for contemporary investigative arts. Based in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Kapelica Gallery is a space for transdisciplinary interactions, where scientific and technological applications, biopolitics and urban phenomena are explored through a program of spatial installations, performances, sound research and theoretical-reflective lectures. The gallery is part of the non-profit and non-governmental cultural organisation of Kersnikova Institute, including the hacker space Rampa, and the inspirational laboratory BioTehna.

On March 4, masharu invited visitors to a Lecture & Workshop on earth-eating traditions, the transdisciplinary project of Museum of Edible Earth, and production of edible soil through the more recent project of Compost as Superfood. The discussion on soil consumption merged with a communal reflection on the complexity of earth-eating traditions, cultural understanding, environmental awareness, safety issues and personal preferences.

The event gave visitors the opportunity to share a tasting experience that fostered a creative reviewing of their knowledge on (organic) food consumption and traditions, combined with a dialogue around their relationships with the environment and cultural differences.

The Exhibition was reported by the local TV Channel Kultura, available to watch here.
