This Pemba (or Pimba) sample was sourced from a market in Amsterdam but originates from Suriname, where it is an edible clay commonly consumed—especially by pregnant women—and holds significance in the Winti tradition. The sample is pinkish-white, fragile, and circular in shape, melting easily to the touch and offering a unique texture. When eaten, Pemba delivers a bitter, creamy flavor with a hint of spice and a subtle smoky aftertaste.
