The Eko is composed of smoked edible rocks. The rocks are used for eating and spirituality.
This sample was found at the Oyingbo Market. It is an ultramodern market complex located in Oyingbo, a metropolitan city in Ebute Metta area of Lagos State. The market is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Lagos thereby contributing a large quota to the economy of the state.
We are very greatful to Celine Nneka (https://www.instagram.com/everythingearthy_/) for showing us around.
We had a great moment eating this sample at the AAF (African Artists Foundation), in Lagos, Nigeria. African Artists’ Foundation (AAF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of contemporary African art.

Delicate taste, not too dry, reminded me of peanuts
It tastes like nuts
It is minty, which disappears very quickly. Then it is like paper. It is first hard, then it gets soft after it is in your mouth for a while.
